Miniatures Handbook: Hurling&Powerful Charge

Simple question. Someone uses Hurling Charge (throws a weapon, quickdraws another one and charges) with Powerful Charge. Would the extra damage from Powerful Charge be counted towards the throwing as well?

I'd say no. But it isn't clear one way or another. But the throw isn't a part of the charge, I'd say, so powerful charge just affects the charge.

No because Powerful Charge states "When you charge, if your melee attack hits, it deals an extra". Since a ranged attack with a thrown weapon is not a melee attack it does not trigger the bonus from Powerful Charge.
