[Minis] Chainmail "Centaur Trooper"

SamuraiY

First Post
I have a Centaur Trooper mini from the chainmail series, but unfortunately, its base has no slot in it. It's just a little flat piece of plastic. Someone else out there must have gotten this figure. What I'm asking is: is this a problem with my miniature individually, or is it just a feature of the centaur trooper? If it is normal, then how do I glue it down?

I have the same thing, though I haven't gotten around to doing anything with the centaur. I only cracked the Ravilla box for two of the elf minis for a couple PCs.

If no one here has an answer, I'd recommend WotC's "Chainmail" forum on their D&D messageboard. I have to assume a lot of the regulars there have this mini and might've come up with a solution.

One possibility is picking up some "Large Monster" bases put out by Citadel/GW. They're square instead of round, but for a few bucks, you'll have a bunch of spare 2" bases with slots.

Those minis came with round bases that are meant to be cut. The best way to do this is from the bottom of the base.

Place the "slot" attached to the centaur on the bottom of the base and mark it's length with an X-Acto knife. You might want to place the slot next to one of the long support ribs on the base that will give the miniature some stability. Then use the X-acto knife to cut out a hole the size of the marked slot.

Good Luck.
