[Minis?] Would you pay for this?

There are all sorts of other things I'd rather spend $300 on, but I'm with Bagpuss: this took a lot of work. It's actually pretty cool.

Well, it is certainly a cool diarama, but judging from the larger pictures on the sellers site, the paint job is not worth that price. It looks very good, but not top notch. This is from comparison with the prices for the painting service on www.portent.net Even if it was, I wouldn't pay 300$ for that, because I can't justify spending that kind of money on somebody else's work. For me to display something like that and be proud of it, I would have to have made it myself, otherwise it means nothing.

For $300, you could buy all the castle brick molds from http://www.castlemolds.com , plenty of the dental plaster to cast the bricks, paint, and the mins used, and still have enough for all three revised core rule books.

-z, who thinks castlemolds are really, really fun and really, really easy to use.

I'd just like to agree with Zaruthustran here.

I just got a fair range of Hirst Arts moulds and they are great!

I have one set which I'm using to make modular dungeons and another set for making castles. At the moment I'm making "Brightstone Keep" from the Castle guide and I'm seriously considering make the moathouse from the Temple of Elemental Evil.

All I can say is give Histarts a look. The initial outlay is high, but the return is enormous!

How true that is because that diorama wouldn't even put a dent in the 50 lb bag that my fiance and I get. Plus you wouldn't get the satisfaction of building it yourself if you paid $300 for someone else's creativity. But that is just my opinion.
