Nope, its sitting right next to my computer monitor, along with my death knight mini (the death knight is a bit of an ego signature for me since I did the 3E template), and the bodyguard droid from Star Wars. Of those three, I only Ebay'd the beholder.

As the rest has said: You can always go to eBay, or maxminis (or any other place where they sell singles, there are some vendors specializing in it). You can get exactly what you want, and common minis are quite cheap (and those are the figures you want masses of)

There are a few tiny minis in each set.

Not really. So far, we have two tiny figures: The Quasit from Giants of Legend and the Imp from Angelfire. Vargouille is small.

But I think they will have some more tiny minis in the future. They have been talking about the pseudodragon for some time.

Well that is all well and good, but I don't think WotC has realised mini's for...
cat, rat, bat, toad, wolf, direwolf, horse, lion, tiger, ferrit, hawk, eagle, owl, or any thing realitivily normal like that. My druids are going buggy because I have almost mistaken the little red bead for their wolf, for a monster bead.

Cat: No, sorry, at least not a tiny housecat
Rat: Neither, but there are dire rats
Bat: Nothing yet (could be problematic)
Toad: No, but a giant toad is there.
Wolf: There are two: Wolf and Timber Wolf. You could also count the Worg
Dire Wolf: We have that.
Horse: Not as such, but there's the Mounted Paladin
Lion: Dire lion's there, but it should be usable as normal lion
Tiger: Weretiger's there (often called Tony ), and Weretiger will probably follow.
Ferret: You could use the fiendish dire weasel in a pinch
Eagle, Owl, Hawk: No, sorry.


Generally, tiny minis are quite rare (not that they're "rare" - they're usually uncommon, but there are not many miniatures with that size), and I don't think we'll have (m)any tiny animals any time soon. I don't know whether they're available anywhere else, either. Diminutive or fine creatures will probably not be done at all.

Toys R Us and a lot of other toy stores/aisles (just saw them yesterday at a craft store, too) have these foot-tall clear plastic tubes of plastic critters that I use on the battlemat. There are sets like jungle (apes, tigers, etc.), forest (wolves, owls, rabbits, etc.), lizards/frogs, bugs, dinosaurs, ocean (great for dire sharks and celestial whales!) - even the barnyard one is very useful: horses, cows, pigs, etc. They're not great quality, but they might be better representations than colored beads.

I just went through sorting my minis last night, into alignment, then type (undead and lycans, monsters, humans, elves... easy tofind named compartments) thing is I dont even use this case anymore because carrying it around is too much work... and with everything else to carry, I just find a trolley cart easier.

Painting minis can be its own subhobby, but its well worth it. I recommend it over the pre-painted D&D and MageKnight style miniatures, but if you're satisfied with them, more power to you!

I have also considered buying Mage knight mini's and poping them off those round click bases and regluing them to new bases because of some of the Unusal monsters I use, and let's face it a lizard rideing barbarian just look uber cool.
But as I said right now I am looking for not just common army but also animals. Does anyone actualy use a mini for the druid's wolf companion, and the sorcerers cat familar?

Yes to both.

Cat- Reaper Miniatures

Wolf- WoTC, Reaper and sometimes Games Workshop

Other Familiars used- Owl, Rat and Snake. Reaper or Games Workshop for those.
