D&D 3E/3.5 minotaur v invisible attacker 3.5

If the pixie was already next to the minotaur or it can take a 5 foot step then there's no need for a charge. If it's further away of course then it needs to charge, but we can't always make that assumption.

True but that assumes the surprise round doesn't start until the pixie is right next to the minotaur. I consider moving to get into position part of the surprise round - since it requires moving on turns in an initiative order - and that requires rolling for order (something that is done in the surprise round to determine who goes when).

Regardless of charge or not - pixie can still only make a standard action attack in the surprise round.
