Hello. Just a few questions that run about.

1) Can Leadership be taken twice, thus bestowing 2 cohorts and quite a bit of followers?

2) Can a creature with a natural attack, specifically something like claws, attack with a fist a do subdual?

3) If I was a Lasher using Crack of Fate (2 extra attacks at -4) could I also use Rapid Shot to get 3 extra attacks at -6?

Not as far as I know. Though the feat description doesn't say one way or the other.

Sure. They suffer the standard -4 penalty though.

1. Yes, absolutely. This was clarified by Monte Cook. Cool, huh?

2. Sure, at -4.

3. Crack of fate gives one extra attack at -2; crack of doom gives 2 extra attacks at -4. In any case, they both stack with rapid shot, which gives you one more attack and adds a -2 penalty. Conceivably, a 10th lvl fighter/10th lvl lasher could be making SEVEN whip attacks a round, all at -6!

I agree with the previous answers.

Unless the feat says you can take it multiple times - as a general rule you can't do so. It needs to state that you can gain the feat multiple times - usually in the "special" part of the text.

So, on the one hand, we have the general rule from WotC that says, "Unless the feat states you can take it multiple times, you can't." and then on the other hand, we have a decision from Monte that says, "Yes, you can take leadership multiple times." Hmm. I'm not sure. It has nothing to do with favoring the big fish either. It's just that I can think of a few times where Monte's rulings contradicted the official ones, say, Mind Blank for instance? ;)

I think I'd better go with my gut on this one and say "No.".

1) No. I have to also go with NO. It should be No. Feats that you can take multiple times are listed as such with a * or ** (whether the stack or not) on p79 of the PHB. Leadership has nether of these. But you could always allow it in your game if you wanted to, we do. But we also let you take many other feats multiple times as well and we have not found it to be too imbalancing because of the very limited number of feats any character can have.

2) Like PC said, Yes with a -4 penalty on the attack, the creature doesn't even need to use it's fist, it can use it's claws at a -4.

3) As PC said yes you can.

Thanks everyone! :D

I think I must have read the message from Monte some time in the past because I do remember hearing you could. Since I have already let players do it, no point stopping now ...

I guess I already knew the thing about subdual damage but it slipped my mind.

And thanks P'Cat! In a campaign I play in I think I am going to go for Lasher now! :D
