Mithgar d20 conversion?

Since we've been on the Middle Earth conversion for some time (which, i must say, deserves MUCH kudos as it is excellent in every way!), i was wondering if anyone had done the same thing for Dennis McKiernan's Mithgar? I know Lobo had mentioned something about it.... any ideas?

Mithgar

Well, i'm not entirely sure how one could explain an 8 novel series.... The best way i could describe it is "paralleling Tolkien's hard work at his own world" that is, McKiernan writes up languages, cultures, religions, everything..its VERY in depth without being long winded like Robert Jordan (no offense to his fans or the author himself intended). You should really check out this series. The author is Dennis L McKiernan, and the books are designed to be read in almost any order. If you have a preference for the order, let me know, i have a listing of the historical order. Sorry i couldn't really explain Mithgar...its one of those "you gotta experience it" things.

Mithgar

I would like to help with a Mithgar conversion site. For people not familar with the site, Read the Book Tales of Mithgar. It has a lot of short stories that cover several aspects of Mithgar.

I've been thinking about this ever since 3E came out!! Nothing on paper, but i've stopped to think about it many times. It would be very interesting. I would love to lend a helping hand. If anyone decides to work on it, drop me a line.

Designing d20 Mithgar

I would like to work on this project. There are several internet websites that can provide background information. Encyclopedia Mithgar is the best. On this site the Author, Dennis McKiernan provides his Role Master statistics to the Mithgar Races. It is not hard to change them to D20. The monsters can be designed by finding the closest thing to them in the Monster Manual. Also the Middle Earth setting provides ideas that are useful. A spell casting mechanic will have to be made to reflect the unique magic of Mithgar. For Flavor purposes spells above 6th level should not be availiable. On the Middle Earth site someone has made a list of disallowed spells at all levels, this list would go well with Mithgar. Unlike the Middle Earth site one method of D&D Mithgar should be the end result. The active members should post their prospective contributions here and allow them to be evaluated. Threr will need to be varient classes to represent the Mithgar setting. I have drawn some up. A pure human on Mithgar should not be able to cast any spells. That would mean that any spell caster comes from the following races: part demon, part celestrial, part Mage, or perhaps part Elf. Dwarfs, humans, and Warrows (Hobits), can not cast spells and even Elfs should only be minor spell casters like Ranger or Paladin. I am redoing the Bard to cast spells no higher the 4th level.
