No, I remember it it. It was just rediculus. The idea that you could weld a mithral bastard sword as a light weapon for a medium sized person was very laughible.

DMG, pg 243, second paragraph.

Weapons or armors fashioned from mithral are treated as masterwork items with regard to creation times, but the masterwork quality does not affect the enhancement bonus of the weapons or the armor check penalty of the armor.
 

But is that saying that all items made from Mithral are considered MW (with out the bonuses) so they can be enchanted.

Or does it mean that making anything is the same DC as a MW version (thus not getting any of the MW bonuses) but it can't be made magical becasue it's not technically MW?
