Mixing grapple attempts with natural attacks

I don't think there is such a limitation, altho it might make sense in some cases. It's up to the DM then to put that kind of sense into the game. :)

A monster with improved grab can grapple (hold) at -20 with a specific part of it's body (e.g. head) and can still use it's normal iteration of attacks (e.g. claws) against other (?)opponents.

I just wonder if "other" here should be read as an option or as a restriction.

A restriction, I'd say. The creature is grappling with that creature and fights it as if grappling, but for anyone else, the creature does not count as grappling (no loss of Dex to AC, can still act normally against others). At leastthat's how I see it.

And in this case, you are not using natural weapons in the normal sense. You are Grappling, which is always based off your BAB. It just so happens that one of the grapple options specifically allows you to make an attack a -4 with a light weapon or natural weapon, instead of a normal grapple check for damage.

And if you make two attacks with a natural weapon while grappling, you are receiving additional attacks for a high base attack bonus while using natural weapons.

Which is explicitly prohibited.

Nope. You are grappling, which specifcally allows this. Like I said, grappling is its own wierd little combat sub-system.
