I'm pretty sure many of you seen the real map of "Salton City" by now. You could use that as a reference/template. For how salton city's layout may look. However,
in this reality the City actuually grew as the city planners hoped it would in the 1950s and eventually absorbed the towns of Desert Shores, Truck Haven, and Salton Beach. The population of this area is about 10,000, but for reasons beyond the planning commission's control most people live within a mile of the Salton Sea's shoreline.

If you look on a real mop, Desert Flower Inn would be located in the three mile stretch of nothing along the 86 north of North Marina Drive. Since most of the construction in Salton City lies within a mile of the coast, this area is still desert.

On the real map of the area, the Desert Flower Inn and Benny's lies in that 2 mile stretch of nothing north of North Marina Road. And yes, this part of Salton City is still a desert. If you looked outside the window the desert stretches for a mile (to the south, north and east) before you see a line of buildings.

Btw. Im in the process of trying to create a "google map" of this reality's salton city. Hopefully I'll be finished soon.

"Hey, I got you the job, right?" he replied, rising to the challenge in her voice. "And you should have a package at the front desk too. From your first sponsor! Remember to face the camera while you wear it, and SMILE Keiko! Don't be so gloomy! People remember and love a smiling face. That's what you need to show them. Hero smile!"
Can I guess who the next sponsor is? I'm not guessing Guess.

Hah! I thought you had just made up the city and I was about to ask about the geography and population. Now I have a better picture of the size of the place.

Damn, the real place looks depressing :(. It's like a network of roads in the middle of nowhere, and that's about it...

But if I understood correctly, the game Salton City is a bustling city :)

I invite anyone and everyone to suggest sponsors for Keiko. :)

At the beginning, I figure they'll mostly be smaller businesses, but as the show gets bigger, there will be bigger names interested in advertising on it. Eventually Keiko may have to have sort of patchwork outfits, like a NASCAR driver, with brand names all smushed together all over her.

Hee hee.

Oh, and don't limit yourselves to clothes! She can eat and drink branded products...use tools, drive cars...all kinds of things. :)

I invite anyone and everyone to suggest sponsors for Keiko. :)

In a way I thought about creating an idealized version of the city... where some of the Salton City's ideas came into fruition. A place just ripe for super heroes/villians to come in and ruin things. :D

Yeah once you leave the fringes of the desert.

I think I'm in need of a bit of advice into what Shapechange can and can't do.

I know it says you can only alter physical traits but what are they? I'm looking to change into Rocky Balboa for example and gaining a great consitution and a knowledge of boxing and looking exactly like him and sounding exactly like him.

I'm looking to change into George Clooney when he was on ER, but would this grant him the ability to do surgery and general doctor things?

If I change into Biggles (the flying ace) would I become a great pilot?

If I change into Robocop would I get a limited imperivousness and super strength? but not a knowledge of the law?

In the end I think I need a list of what it can and can't grant.

Shapeshifting can't give skills. There are other powers that can do that.

Shapeshifting can only give the abilities appropriate to the -body- of the form you take. Rocky's strength and stamina. Robocop's armored hide (and integral gun). Clooney's People-winning smile.

You may need to get both Shapeshifting and some kind of variable skill pool...perhaps with the limit that it only grants skills appropriate to the form taken via Shapeshifting.
