Lemme preface this by saying that I don't have the Freedom City book (on its way), so I don't know if Green Ronin already did something along these lines. But here's something I noticed when looking at the PDF map...
The map is clearly based on an area of the Jersey shore bordering on the Pine Barrens. Direct your eyes toward the region marked Lonely Point in the MnM-verse. In the real world, right around that area is a small town called Leeds Point. Legend, of course, has it that Leeds Point was the home of the same Leeds clan that gave birth to the Jersey Devil. In fact, up until the 1970s (AFAIK), the run-down shack in which the Devil was said to have been born still stood in Leeds Point. Also, investigators found in a local cemetery the grave of Smith J. Leeds, a name that had become attached to the Devil myth. The child died when he was 2.
Anyway, I'm planning on running a Midnight Sons-type supernatural game of MnM, and this coincidence was just too good to pass up. I gotta do something with this, and maybe some other of you GMs can, too.
