Basically, the text says that succeding at a 20 + spell level concentration check, you can move and cast up to your speed as a standard action. Casting defensively while moving is 25+spell level. Failure in the check means losing the spell and not casting.

1) So basically can casters double move while casting? (i.e (Cast+move) + move)

2) What about touch spells? do you get a virtual spring attack effect (if you succed at the concentration check)? Or a virtual charge with a touch spell (2x move)?

3) is this feat unbalanced? (at first glance I'd say no but some ENWorld members are much more critical of new feats than I'll ever be ;) )

Thanx

This feat does not remove the AoOs from the movement, just maybe the AoO from casting... but #1 is right.

If that's what the text says, then yes. You get a SA and a Move Action. Unless it restricts other movement, then you can move, pull out and item, etc.

You don't get a virtual spring attack because you would provoke an AoO upon moving away, but you could (seemingly) cast while moving up, touch the victim, and then move away. That could be a nice tactic though. The virtual charge, yes, but it's not a charge so you don't get +2 to hit or any of the other modifiers for charging.

Technicaly, it looks legit, but I generaly don't allow a move action if you've already moved. I don't belive a GM would allow you to take a move as a standard action AND a move action, and this is no different other than you are casting a spell durring the standard action as well.

I know he doesn't get the immunity to AoOs from spring attack, but he does get the option of:

walk in-cast spell- walk out. If he passes the Concentration check he doesn't provoke an AoO for the spell, although he does provoke one by walking out. But that won't disrupt the spell (already cast).

Why on Earth not?

Movement in Combat: Generally, you can move your speed in a round and still do something (take a move action and a standard action). If you do nothing but move (that is, if you use both of your actions in a round to move your speed), you can move double your speed.

You can take 2 move actions in a round. Perhaps you just mis-spoke.

Well that's kinda funny. So technically you could take 2 moves.

I wonder why it isnt written like shot on the run, where you could move, cast, and move again, provided total movement was not more than your base movement.

To which post are your responding?

For the feat: yup, that's what you can do.

Normally: Nope, you can't move, take a standard action, then move again.

What's the funny part?

I think it's important to make the distinction that "cast as you move" is the standard action. I'm not sure when it will come into play, but it really isn't move-cast-move. I think it's more akin to drinking a potion as you move (not that that should take a feat though, or tri-athletes would have to have that feat as well ;) )
