Inpsired by Piratecat's Idea thread, here's some magic items for your use and/or amusement. They're meant for a modern day fantasy campaign.
Shopping Bag of Copious Capacity: This canvas bag looks much like a standard bag of the type, with the exception that it can hold an entire shopping cart worth of goods, and look as though it was only holding a single bag's worth. And at a weight equivalent to a standard bag loaded down with a typical mix of items.
Self Sorting Shopping Bag of Copious Capacity: As above, but it can also sort the items placed within it so the heavy items are on the bottom, and the light stuff is on the top.
Hefty Shopping Bag of Copious Capacity: This version can hold the contents of a shopping cart of the size used in warehouse stores and the like.
Hefty Self Sorting Shopping Bag of Copious Capacity: As above, but like the smaller self sorting bag it can sort items as needed.
Shopping Bag of Delicate or Fragile Items: With this small bag delicate or fragile items are kept safe from harm by anything outside the bag. Thus it is not suitable for carrying say, glass sculptures and a hammer together. But it will keep said sculptures safe from a hammer blow against the bag. Unlike the previous shopping bags it does not have a capacity greater than normal for its size.
Shopping Bag of Sharp Items: As for the previous bag, but this one is endweomered to hold sharp objects such as knives, scissors, calligraphic pens, etc.
A reminder, all the shopping bags above are made of canvas, often embroidered with a store's logo, or the logo of a company. Most often found in tony shops for use by steady customers. On occasion a store may give away an SBCC as a way to advertise, and in the hopes of drawing customers back. Grocery stores will sometimes give away free SBCCs as a way to cut down on the use of "temporary" bags, and so cut down on the cost of using that type of bag. It's not uncommon for folks to use their SBCC for every type of shopping that needs to be done. For heavy duty grocery shopping families will often bring three or more SBCCs with them.
***There you got 'em. Useful, but not what you'd see the typical adventurer carrying around with him. What sort of mundane modern day magic item can you come up with?
