Gosh, if only someone had (entirely coincidentally, without any advance knowledge of this) dropped a few oblique hints at something that could be 4E modrons in the flavor text of a recent "Powers" book...

I would love to see a book dedicated to the modrons...

Wouldn't it be cool if they could like merge together and form larger polygonal modrons...sort of like cogs in a bigger machine. I just think there is a bunch of good stuff there. I am envisioning mechanics in their world, ala the animated movie Robots...

And minis' why in the hell doesn't WOTC bundle its minis in a format that is useful to the people that use them for RPG. Instead of these bloated random boxes where you have no idea what you are getting. Give us little boxes by theme with maybe a group of 5-10 minis (for $15-25). Get rid of the common to rare crap. Nobody cares about that.

Orc warband, Undead from a tomb, underdark drow and spiders, large dragons and PC minis, goblins-wolves, and MODRONS. You get the idea. The new set has a zhent set that is along these lines...

Love the tiles, extremely versatile, but I should be able to buy a box of like Inn furniture or a wizards lab/workbench complete with a cauldron and desk. I think a dragon with a treasure hoard would be cool, and include common treasure items like armor and sword, little scrolls and potions. I think people would really go for these type of items.

I do love the modrons and rich for content...and not full of fiery hellish death like so many of the other planes!

Modrons! Happy to see that they're well beloved out there, especially the DiTerlizzi incarnation. Ditto for the Dragon incarnation (one of the last print Dragons) - all the new concepts sound like an interesting way to update and integrate them, though I'm wondering what my become of "the Great Modron March".

Well, I, for one, welcome our new geometric overlords!

Okay, perhaps I was a bit harsh on accusing the design team of reluctant modron updating . . . .

But until I see my polyhedral friends in all their glory in Monster Manual IV . . .
