Well, now that Matthew's made the official announcement about my participation on this project, I guess it's safe to talk about this. I spent just about every waking minute in July (besides my day job and meals, that is) going over the stats of the monsters that will appear in the book. They've now got all of my inputs and are now going through the book and making the final tweaks and such (plus plugging in the artwork and all of that fun stuff). I don't know what the schedule is as far as getting it published, but I think the wait is certainly going to be worth it. This should be a really cool book.

And while I'm not in any hurry to take on another project of this immense size again, I am glad I did this one. It's amazing how much I can now rattle off about skill synergy bonuses from the top of my head! (That's what took up the most time: taking apart each monster's skill points and making sure everything added up correctly.)

I hope you were well compensated for your time, because I know you won't see anything from the sales of this book. Even though your participation on this project will definately garner more sales for Mongoose. I for one cringe everytime I open WOTC's MM III, and knowing that I won't have to for this book pushes it into the must have realm for me.

So thanks for putting your time into this book to make sure it's correct the FIRST TIME!

BTW, check out the SST mini game at Gen Con, I will be there with Brian and some other people from Danger Planet. We did a lot of terain for the event.
