Mongoose doing Star Trek d20?

Interesting...I'd probably buy it. :)

Decipher did lose all their RPG department, yes? Not just the LotR game. For some reason, I don't remember exactly what happened with them.

How many different companies with different systems are going to get the Star Trek licence? It would be nice if someone could keep it for awhile. I liked Decipher's CODA system.

Then keep using the CODA system. Nobody's forcing you to change. I know, I know, it would be nice to play a game that has upcoming support material, but it still doesn't invalidate you from playing that system. They produced pretty many books for Star Trek didn't they?

I know nothing's stopping me. Decipher did a handful of books for Star Trek and I liked them. I hope I get a chance to actually use them. I'm just lamenting the fact that the licence keeps changing hands.

If it is OGL (or even d20) then a certain amount of it will be available for anyone to write sourcebooks and adventures, even if they can't touch specific IP/PI. If it isn't OGL (or even d20) then it will be just another ST RPG with support for as long as Mongoose wants to keep shelling out for the licensing.

False rumor, according to Matthew Sprange on the Mongoose boards.

Uh-huh...

False rumor? I doubt it. Not with an ISBN and an entry at Amazon! :)
I'd say after seeing the ISBN I'm definitely going to doubt it being a false rumor, too. But really, is it any surprise that they would call it a false rumor before its been officially announced?
