The big question I am going to have is this: What class would closest resemble Grey Star, wizard of the Shianti?

My second largest question is: This book was delayed for a month while the new quality assurance systems were put into place. Would you stake that this book, while of course not error-free, is definitely improved from that process? I myself will be interested to see the amount of basic errata (spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc.) this book generates in the long term, because there was quite an uproar over very common errors found in the Conan RPG.

I can answer you that. Closest that I've seen from previews and such would be the Magician of Dessi, who has a lot of the Grey Star magic paths and such. Remember Grey Star was a human trained by Shianti, and not a Shianti himself; August (the author of LW) has also said on the messageboards he'll try to get a full Shianti class into any magical supplement.

Awesome news! Mongoose rules!

Now, I have a question. I heard somewhere that the original Lone Wolf game books were going to be rewritten into solo d20 adventures, playable with your character from the Lone Wolf RPG.

Is this true?
Might be, but if you want to relive the old books you could always pop over to http://www.projectaon.org/

Speaking of which, is there any mention of that site in the RPG?

Wouldn't the Shianti be a race, rather than a class?

Actually, I have already played through all the gamebooks up at projectaon.org. :)

What a great thing for Joe Dever to make all the books available online and for free!

yes! YES!! YESSSS!!!!!

I finally get a Lone Wolf RPG!

I cut my RPing teeth on Lone Wolf. I loved it. Though I had discovered D&D before Lone Wolf, I constantly found myself trying to make a Kai Lord or a Magician of Dessi. No, I don't know everything about Lone Wolf (I couldn't find all the books...are they available on back order?), but the world was so rich and detailed and flavorful, I couldn't help but love it.

It's on my wish list...now all I need is a spare $40...hmmm....I've got a birthday coming up...Honey?

My wife is glaring at me. Hee hee.
