(Mongoose) Paranoia XP

This is the coolest license I've seen all year.

Some of my greatest gaming experienced involved clones, boot polish and that insistent beeping noise.

And don't forget your Bouncy Bubbly Beverage (Where the argument still rages as to whether Original or New & Improved tastes better)

For the record, neither taste better than the other as the computer provided both of them and the computer is never wrong.

Cheerio

My very first game was Paranoia. I was eight or nine years old. First session:

DM: "PAR-R-OTS shoots SHA-R-PIE in the back and he dies."
Me (SHA-R-PIE): "Oh, that sucks!"
DM (aside): "No, it's cool. You have five clones. Watch." (to everyone) "SHA-R-PIE's clone pod rockets through the sky. What are you all doing?"
Group: "What?"
DM: "The clone pod lands right in the middle of the group. (rolls dice) PAR-R-OTS is killed instantly by the impact."
Me: "Ha ha. Sorry about that, friend citizen."
DM: "The computer says, 'Citizen SHA-R-PIE, revenge is treason. Treason is...' but then you don't hear anymore because it fries you."

God, I don't even remember any stories for that game; my group never once managed their way out of the base. And of course, the two answers to every question were "Smile!" and "Dive for cover!"

Great times.

Sounds like you never designated a "Team Going First Officer".

--Who's going in first?
--Not me.
--Me either.
--Okay, as Team Leader, I designate TOYS-R-USS Team Going First Officer, in order to increase efficiency.
--Crap, how many clones do I have left?
