We play 2nd edition a couple of times a year. I own both 1st edition (much darker in tone) and 5th edition (blarg) as well, but 2nd edition's rules-light gameplay was a win for us. The fact that the game is going back towards its roots in terms of tone is a really hopeful sign.

This citizen has never played paranoia. However, the computer tells me that anything ending with the letters X and P deliver me from communism. Democracy is good. The computer is my friend. I usually prefer D20 to other game systems, but the computer has promised to reprogram me for the benign purposes of playing this game. I trust the computer.

- No wait. The computer is evil! The computer will kill us all. Destroy the computer!

- Beep
- Zap. Zap.

Ah yes, the computer has shown me the way. I trust the computer. I believe the computer has my best interests at heart. The computer will lead me away from my keyboard now and to a nice peaceful room with nice fluffy pads on the walls where I can rest while I ponder the merits of... Beep!
