Hi guys,

The arrival of the latest in the Supplementary Rulebook line is imminent! This is the second volume of the Ultimate Prestige Classes and we have listened to all your comments about the first volume (about to go out of print, incidentally) to ensure this is the best yet.

There are 'classic plays' giving an overview of the class and its potential in any given campaign for _every_ prestige class in the book.

Every prestige class we have included has been completely disassembled, re-written (including description and rules sections) and rebalanced to ensure all may be used with confidence.

Psionic prestige classes are readily accessible and, more to the point, worthwhile, to characters who have already built up a formidable psychic capability.

All classes begin with a quote that gets you into the character and mindset of the class straight away.

Ultimate Prestige Classes II kicks off with an advanced look at how these classes are created and the ways they can be used, building on from its sister chapter in the first book (though readily useable by anyone who has a fair grasp of the d20 System). Then the book launches into the Way of the Warrior, providing a range of prestige classes geared towards those players with a love of combat. To give just a few examples - Dwarven Hurler, Elite Cavalryman, Grey Knight of the Fey, Night Hunter and Sister of the Lash.

This is followed by Open Hand and Closed Fist (martial arts-based characters - such as Ghost Eater, Ki Warrior and Shadow Tiger), Secrets of the Arcane(for ex, Bone Archer, Grand Diva and Hallowed Mage), The Power of Faith (Bloated One, Fakir, Prophet), By Wits and Skill (Elven Carouser, Fire-Eater, Lothario), Mind over Matter (Pharos, Psionic Revenant, Psynergist), Crusaders of Light and Darkness (Cowled Rider, Mad Tailor - love that one! - Princely Hero) and Monstrous Paths (Deathless Master, Drow Infernalist, Ogre Child-Catcher).

Just a smattering of what you can find in here! Ultimate Prestige Classes II is fully indexed by both class and class features, draws from over 45 of your favourite OGC sources (as well as introduces a range of brand new classes, never seen before), and updates them all for 3.5!

Ultimate Prestige Classes II is a 256 page hardback retailing at $34.95, and will be available in your local stores within the next couple of weeks.

Our pleasure. Feel free to buy Jake a beer for writing it.

Just out of curiosity, how much content is original to Mongoose?

/me can hardly wait to see the S15 on this one- Gar'Udok's was HUGE.

When you say "re-written", did you make dramatic changes or just clarify and organize?

What OGC sources did you use?

Aproximately how many classes are you expecting to print?

I'm interested in these details too so the good old bump!

Hi guys,

You know, I _knew_ there was a thread on a forum somewhere that I had to get back to. My apologies for the delay!

There are over 130 prestige classes in this book, over which around 20 are completely new and original.

Almost everything in every class has been rewritten - that is not to say that radical rules changes were made everywhere, but we tidied up the grammar, made everything flow together and altered a few questionable rules. 3.5ing the classes was part of this process. Overall, I am very happy with the work that was done in this area - the book reads very, very well.

As for which OGC sources we used, I am afraid I'll have to ask you to take a peek at the section 15 at the back of the book in your local store. There are a massive amount of sources, truly. I think it is one of the biggest section 15s we have ever done!
