Mongoose's Pocket Player and GM guides

I have been using Mongoose Pocket Modern in place of D20 Modern, I like it, but there are a few things that got skipped, in particular the rules for equipment supplied by an agency rather than the PC. (I forget the name of this table off hand, I copied it from the MSRD).

On the other hand it seems very sturdy, and has seen a fair amount of abuse over the last six months or so.

While I work for Mongoose, and am therefore far from unbiased, my PPH has stood up to a daily regimen of
a) being jammed into a bag
b) having a heavy laptop pushed on top of it
c) being consulted hastily and at random in various coffee shops
d) occasionally being thrown against walls
as well as being dragged across Europe and beyond.

Cover lamination is peeling, but binding is still fully intact. When I was at Mongoose HQ, they praised it as being the most abused PPH they'd yet seen.

Well I wrote the review of the Pocket PHB on ENWorld so that sums up my thoughts on it. I've not had any problems with durability so far, with reasonably heavy use. The main thing that's lacking is the character generation system, but if you know the system you prefer to use already that's not a big deal. I like the lack of flavour text, and my biggest reservation is the lack of diagrams in the combat section (not a showstopper, but always nice to have).

I've also got the Pocket Modern Handbook and the Pocket Conan books - I've posted a review of the Conan book, and a review of the Modern Handbook will come.

Thanks to all for responding! It sounds like these pocket guides are just what I'm looking for.

Do you know of any monster guides aside from the official MM that include most or all of the SRD monsters? Or perhaps any alternative monster guides that take different spins on the old basics like humanoids, giants, dragons, demons, etc and acts as a stand alone monster guide for d20 Fantasy gaming?
There are a number but a great place to find some is the Creature Catolog here: http://www.enworld.org/cc/
