I have a player playing a...monk/sorcerer/rogue/fighter/order of the bow initiate.
Specifically: Rog3/Mnk8/Sor3/Ftr4/Obi2
Oh, and to top it off, she has an amulet that allows her to cast her true strike spell as a move action three times a day. I mean, that's all it does, but, hell, that's pretty useful for this character.
Actually, she's a lot of fun. Her maxed skills are Diplomacy and Sense Motive. She's the party's negotiator. She ALWAYS carries her bow, and has taken as many feats as possible to support that. And, given that enemies basically see her as an archer, boy are they surprised when she's more dangerous up-close-and-personal and without a weapon.
Anyway, for backstory reasons, I allowed her to dip in and out of all of these classes, and it hasn't been a problem. She's no tougher than the other characters in the party.
As a Sor3, she's not a big threat dealing touch spells, but, she can, and so that's kinda fun as well.
