Monks disarm w/ tiny hands?

F2/Mk6 attack bonus is +6/+1 for unarmed or normal attacks. Figure out what your unarmed attacks would be for your monk levels only (+4/+1 in this case) and replace the first to-hit with your BAB (+6 in this case). That is, you can use the monk's additional attacks instead of the additional attacks that you normally get for your BAB.

F2/Mk7: +7/+2 (BAB +7, monk +5/+2)
F2/Mk8: +8/+3 (BAB +8, monk +6/+3)
F2/Mk9: +8/+3 (BAB +8, monk +6/+3)
F2/Mk10: +9/+4/+1 (BAB +9, monk +7/+4/+1)
F2/Mk11: +10/+5/+2 (BAB +10, monk +8/+5/+2)

A very clear set of examples and explanation.

Now what if you flurry in each of those cases?

Sword and Fist, p. 69: "Double Handed Disarm"

Great!

So, what's the problem then? My reading of p.69 in SaF indicates that there is no drawback to using both hands.

So a lvl 6 monk with a +2 strength bonus could do a full attack action, and attempt a two-handed disarm twice in the round (once at +6, once at +3).

Anyone dispute that reading? I don't see any reason why monks wouldn't always use two handed disarms. I guess it is listed as a variant rule though, so not all DMs will allow it.

Well, if he drops his torch, he could be eaten by a grue...

Hmm...could play a disarming monk somewhat effectively as my new 7th lvl character, looks like. for example:

elven monk 7
UBAB +5/+2
weapon finesse (unarmed)
expertise
improved disarm

dex 17+2(elf)+1(lvl4)+2(gloves) = 22

attack bonus on full attack for disarms: +11/+8. Not likely to have an easy time disarming fighters, but then again it only needs to work once out of your 2 attacks (3 if you flurry) to capture his weapon.

Then, of course, its going to be more difficult when you run against the many folks out there with two handed weapons (large size AND wielded with 2 hands...yikes!)

Hmm

You get an extra attack at your highest to-hit bonus, and a -2 to all attacks (including the extra one). So if you're normally attacking at +9/+4/+1, a flurry would give you +7/+7/+2/-1.
