Monk's stunning attack and "full round"

If this is true, then the only use for stunning an opponent when 1-on-1 is when you have iterative unarmed attacks and you stun on any hit that isn't your last hit? Otherwise, it provides no benefits (unless, of course, you're in a group).

Stunned opponents drop their weapons.

Edit: Hmmmm - looks like they got rid of that as there's no mention in the SRD. I never liked that anyway, so good :)

They aren't attacking you on their turn, they drop anything they are holding, and unless they have a backup weapon, they will have to pick up their weapon from the ground and provoke an AoO.

It's in the DMG errata, and the PHB glossary.

What is - that stun makes you drop stuff (in which case the released section of the SRD is wrong - wouldn't be the first time :p) or that stun no longer makes you drop stuff (in which case the SRD is right) :D

First: D&D is about parties, no lone wolves.
Secondly: If you can stun the enemy, he cannot do anything until you come again, so he won't heal, won't run away, won't attack you and won't cast spells!

With a bit of luck, you can chain stun someone with a series of stunning attacks. If all your stunning attacks hit, and the enemy always fails his save, then you can make a number of melee attacks while he can do nothing.

There's nothing like being able to attack someone without them fighting back. That's the whole point to many strategies, from using missile weapons to the infamous Imp Invis, Fly, rain of fireballs trick.
