Monster Books you'd recommend.

I've gotten a lot of use of these books lately:
  • Advanced Bestiary (Green Ronin)
  • Denizens of Advadnu (Inner Circle Games) (Both are outstanding when used in tandem)
  • Creatures of Freeport (Green Ronin)
  • Into the Green (Bastion Press) - it's 3.0 but not difficult to tweak for 3.5
  • Monsternomicon (Privateer Press)

The Monsternomicon from Privateer Press is darn sweet, and once again I've gotta recomend Green Ronin's Advanced Bestiary. Its not quite a book of monsters, but a book of templates to apply to monsters.
The Monstronomicon - aside from its lack of chart for creatures by CR - is a great, great book. I don't even DM D&D and I *love* just reading it.

Everyone voting for Tome of Horrors should be prepared to eBay theirs, since it's out of print. ;)

I'm going to pipe in with a new recommendation, "Denizens of Dread." It's the 3.5 update of the Ravenloft monsters. You may not like all of them (I'm at about the 50-75 percent range, which is a LOT higher than I am on the WotC monster books), but they have a great deal of flavor and style. If nothing else, get it for the non-human vampire sets. The halfling vampire works off the old hobbit style, but that's fine by me. And the dwarf and gnome vampires, especially, were really flavorful. There's also a huge amount of undead (of course), creepy constructs (of course), some nasty fey and interesting monstrous humanoids.

Monsternomicon (Privateer Press) - For all the reasons mentioned so far. In fact, I'd say it's probably the best monster book for just sitting down and reading. It oozes style and flavor.

Creature Collection Revised (Sword and Sorcery Studios) - I'd get this simply for the Hag templates, but there's some other good stuff in here as well. The rules can be a little wonky, but it's much better than it's predecessor.

Book of Fiends (Green Ronin) - Get it if you really like Fiends.

Draconomicon (WotC) - Best damn dragon book ever.

In addition to the books you've listed as having ordered, I'd suggest picking up the Draconomicon too if you've not already got it. Absolutely superb book by WotC.

If you like undead, I'd also suggest Necromantic Lore by FFG, which is a small monster book, that has some interesting creatures and a few nice templates in it (I love Foreverjack, the thief that cheated death!).

Creatures of Freeport is another small monster book, that has tonnes of style.

Ah...but the Tome of Horrors Revised (for 3.5) PDF (not print...not that I know of anyway) will remedy it being "out of print" :)

A several hundreds pages long PDF is a pretty hardcore audience sort of product, unfortunately. The choice to either print and print and print and print or be tethered to a computer isn't one a lot of us (including me) want to make. If there was some way to slice the content into smaller books and sell it for an actual appropriate profit margin (my understanding is that ToH1 was accidentally priced below what's really profitable for Necromancer), I'd be first in line.
