I agree with warpmind. A party of even say 15lvl, shouldnt have problems with him. Glitterdust, or any other will spell. CR26 i think not. There has been many times a low save has been exploited to make a creature way easier than he ought to be.

Challenge Rating: 26

A mountain giant PC's effective character level (ECL) is equal to its level + 25. Thus, a 1st-level mountain giant barbarian has an ECL of 26 and is the equivalent of a 26th-level character.

There may be an error in the challenge rating. Isn't the ECL generally about 20-30% higher than the challenge rating? They don't usually match up.

I would say the CR is more like 18-20

Regarding the Challenge Ratings, as I see it:

Effigy = CR 22
Gravorg = CR 7
Mountain Giant = CR 20

Another point about the Mountain Giant...if its Colossal shouldn't it be at least 64ft. tall.

Interesting trio of monsters, but then again I was buying Monster Manual 2 regardless...

If ECL+class level=class level, and Class level = CR how come, ECL and CR aren't the same....An Aasimar has ECL1and CL(class level)1, which makes overall level(OL) 2, howcome the CR is 1 not 2?

I think the 2 is probably supposed to be a 1.

Your right, it must be a typo and they should be Gargantuan I think (one size above huge/stormgiants)
