D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual 2 or Player's Handbook 2?

MM2 hands down; there's plenty of old monsters that still need to be converted...I'd probably call it Fiend Folio or Creature Catalog though.

I hope they never do a Monster Manual 2. I would much prefer thematic monsterbooks, like Fiend Folio, Book of Fey, Tome of the Dead, etc. That would make the Monster Manual all the more special. I also really hope they avoid a Player's Handbook 2 and instead release splats as thematic supplements as well.

We don't need another Player's Handbook, we have it already. I am all in for some campaign books, offering further classes and races and features(Eberron with psionics, Kalashtar etc.), but I don't need a second PHB. Monster Manual 2 sounds good to me bring it on Wotc, if you don't work on those campaign books ;)

I'd be happy with themed monster tomes. Given the annual story thing they've got going on, that could well be on the cards.

Given the OSR-love that's gone into 5E, I agree, the second monster book should be the Fiend Folio, while the third is "Monster Manual II." ;)

I'd like to see a combined update of "Faiths & Avatars", "Demihuman Deities" and "Monster Mythology".

Second choice would be a PHB2 filled primarily with additional subclasses, potentially an additional class or two, and possibly some feat/fighting style/maneuver/spell list splat.

Good idea. Hmm. You know what 5e could EVEN do? Branch waaaaaaaay out and create a third unique title, like Creature Compendium or the Handbook of Horrors.
