I wish there were more weirdo elementals like the Xorn, but what we're getting here looks neat! I'm curious to see the Elemental Cataclysm's statblock to see if it could serve as a good stand-in for the 4E primordials.

Maybe? I mean, we've already got stats for Maegera the Dawn Titan in Storm King's Thunder, so there's that. Maegera is a CR 23 fire-based gargantuan elemental.

The elemental cataclysm is a CR 22 gargantuan elemental that has abilities tied to all four main elements (air, earth, fire, and water).

I suspect Maegera would need some retuning for the revised rules.

It damn well is in my 5e cosmology!
I'd have them all there, I still conceptually see the Negative and Positive Energy Planes attached to the Inner Planes, as much as they say it's connected to the Outer Planes instead.

And still use the idea mentioned by designers, but never stated in the books that Feywild is between the Material and Positive and Shadowfell is between the Material and Negative.
