My Druid/Shifter used the Delver as a form to assume. It was quite useful underground, and very effective against anything made from stone or metal...

Oh, yes, I forgot to mention just one little thing that bothers me about the 3.5 MM art.

It is now "official" that in 3.5, imps no longer have big noses. Having been weaned on the 1e Monster Manual and raised to maturity on the DiTelrizzi illustrated Monstrous Manual, I feel that it is a shame that the past imp's most notable feature has been allowed to die away.

Demiurge out.

Speaking of art -- the 3.5 WAR ilo's that have popped up in Dragon Magazine recently, showing, respectively, 1) an adventuring party of iconic characters, 2) a balor, 3) fight between 1 and 2 :) -- do they actually show up in the books anywhere?

I'm sad that the tiefling art changed.

I'm not. I actually find Dit's work irritatingly juvinile. He's good, but just not my cup of tea. Some of his work in Planescape was nice though.

All three pics you speak of cover the new 3.5 DM Screen.

We may disagree about Monte's review of 3.5, but you're spot on my opinion about 3.5 art! ;)

EDIT: Kai Lord: Thanks, I might actually pick that up then. Those pictures are too cool.

<sigh> While there's some new good stuff (mostly by Wayne Reynolds) there were a few pieces they replaced that I liked, and plenty that they didn't replace that I don't like.

True, but the real point is that that last remaining vesitges of Larry Elmore (the titan and the dryad) have finally been eradicated. I'm beside myself with joy. :D

:ducks:

Actually, if you look carefully, it is
1) the iconics
2) the balor standing over the iconics- dead
3) the fight

I thought it was quite amusing. I asked if the store was getting the pics in as posters. They had no idea what I was talking about.

It appears they fired the guy in charge of their gaming dept. Now all they carry is the Legends and lairs series, and "The Quintessential" craps.

Haven't bought anything but minis in the last two months

I like most of the new pictures but i could do with out some of the old
Gryphon (just plain ugly and badly drawn in my opinion)

beholder, could look better

digester (i think they were running out of ideas for names)

elf

hellhound

*there are 2 mindflayers because one is an example of a mindlflayer as a sorcerer pc/npc

lamia

spirit naga

oen change needed to the nymph and it aint the temperature outside ;) (envolves the cloth but ill stop right there)

Phasm; what the hell is it first of all, a humungous 2-celled organism

and i think i will start to hunt the tojanida to extinction (though one we summoned did kill a held aboleth once)
