-and as for the writing, get this: All of the major characters are introduced (and there are a bunch of them) and the tournament is set up in like eleven minutes. For those of you following along with a copy of Sid Field's Screenplay, that is one of the most economical first acts ever.
That's a lot better than the Street Fighter movie, which...I don't think it ever actually got to the World Warrior tournament at all. And Resident Evil...zombies come in, what 30-45 minutes into the movie?
