Monster Manual II Art Gallery!

Moon Rats

Heh,

The picture of the Moon Rat on the barrel reading a scroll on a barrel just looks very ... revolutionary. The Grand Orator of Rodents, or something, hehe. I think I'm having some sort of Animal Farm/Rats of Nimh amalgamation going, or something, :D

Rules-wise, maybe an intelligent tiny/diminutive creature with favoured class "Mage?" (Arcane Magic User)

Thanks for the heads up.

Ehh...I was on the fence with this book anyway..I'm glad they put up the pics and monsters, now I know for sure I don't want it.

I'll wait for ToH now and see what monsters are going to be in that.

They're bringing back the Spellweaver.

Now I am a very, very happy man :)

I'm really pleased with that one as well. And the LINNORMS!!! I've missed them since they were introduced in that old dragon mag - awesome creatures....

The Feyr and Nightmare Beast (how cool is that pic!) will terrorise my players for years to come and I like the worm creatures and Felldrakes. Nice to see that they brought back a few more planar creatures - hope the rest will follow in Fiend Folio...

As for the correct pluralization of "Son of Kyuss," first you should note that they're planning on renaming it. (I attended a Monster Manual II seminar at Gen Con.) In keeping with the non-gender-specific naming scheme of 3E ("lizardfolk" instead of "lizardman," "merfolk" instead of "merman" and "mermaid," etc.), the creature will be a "Spawn of Kyuss."

And the plural of "spawn of Kyuss" will no doubt be "spawn of Kyuss."
