Monster Stat Block Templates

Clockwork Ninja

First Post
I've started wanting to create my own monsters for my 4e campaign rather than using the published ones. Now I keep all of my campaign notes and work in a wiki using pbwiki.com's free wikis. I thought it would be nice to have the stat blocks look just like the ones from the Monster Manual but I haven't been able to do it. Now I'm not that HTML savy so I haven't just been able to create it from scratch, I tried just copying an existing monster write up from one of the .pdfs that Wizards has given us, like from Heathen. Of course I got the text but no formatting. I even tried cutting and pasting the monster stats they put up in HTML from the MM preview excerpts, no go, just text.

So I guess what I'm posting about is, does anyone have an HTML template I can cut and paste into pbwiki's wiki editor that will just have all the blank spaces so I can fill in the particulars of my monsters?

I just came from a page that talked about moving the stat blocks into Google Docs... It's not 'exactly' what you are looking for, however, it does talk a bit about edditing the CSS that lies behind the stat block formatting, soooo - this is a like a 'baby step' in the direction that you want to go... I just figured that I'd post the page, and you could see if it helps at all...

One Inch Square: Copying Compendium Stat Blocks Into Google Docs

worst case, you could follow his instructions, and then I 'think' that you can convert Google Docs into PDF or something... I dunno... if you can't .. you 'should' be able too at the least heh.

G'luck!

Well, it's not HTML, but http://power2ool.com does give you formatted blocks as images if you first fill them in the workspace and then hit print. The print page has the images.

It's not ideal if you want to do a lot of tweaking often, but it does get the formatting and is easy to use.
