That's Latin for "cool"
I'm reading through the very excellent Monster Geographica: Hills and Mountians and I'm trying to think of ways to improve the book. It's a hard task, the organization of this book is terrific and I hope WotC emulates it.
One improvement I was able to think of was listing ease of use on the upper banner part. Each monster is listed one to a page and they are ordered by CR. That way a DM whose players decided not to go into the dungeon after all and explore the forest could flip through and jot down the stats of a few "simple" monsters while he was hiding in the bathroom. And DMs who were preparing the night before could use the "advanced" monsters and figure out how to use them best.
To give you an idea of what I'm talking about:
simple - Tarrasque - a powerful beast but not too many special abilities. A panicing DM can just lob this CR20 out at the last minute (roleplaying/setting concerns aside).
average - Dust Mephit - different attack types and a few spells to keep in mind during the fight
advanced - Old Dragons - these things have to practically be custom constructed. Ouch!
Just an idea that is my gift to the children of the world.
