Monsters tossing PCs

So I have a group of Arborean Terrors (Large Plants) that for story reasons I've like to have toss my PCs around. In short, they have a grab and immobilize ability so round 1 would be that, round 2 would be to toss a PC to another plant who keeps them grabbed and immobilized. There's more to it than that, but my question is, how can I make the toss, catch, and regrab work within the rules? Plant strength versus immobilized PC reflex?

Eh. unless its a huge advantage for the plants I'd just give them the ability for free really..

Just set a range and let them throw a grabbed PC as a minor action.
 

DM Fiat would be the easy way.

If you really want mechanics so the PC's can try to react/cancel etc. Go with a push (ignoring all creatures & terrain) and a knock prone at the end. Then give the creatures an ability to auto-grab anyone that is pushed adjacent to them.
 

Why not use the rules for moving a grabbed creature. Make a Str (Creature) vs Fortitude (grabbed creature) check and if successful you throw the grabbed creature X squares.

Make the attack that Grabs on the plant an Opportunity action.
 

Just make it a power.

Forward Pass (Encounter, Recharge 4 5 6, minor)
Target: One Grabbed Creature
Effect: The Arborean Terror slides the target 5 squares, it can enter the spaces of the Arborean Terror's allies during this movement. If the target ends within reach of another Arborean Terror that isn't grabbing someone that Arborean Terror can are automatically grab the target as an opportunity action.
 


Hurl Away (weapon) * At-Will.
Requirement: The monster must have a creature grabbed. Effect: The monster pushes one creature grabbed by it 10 squares to a square adjacent to anothe rcreature. The pushed creature falls prone and takes X damage. Attack: Ranged X (one creature adjacent to the pushed creature); +X vs Refle. Hit: X damage, and the monster pushes the target 3 squares and knocks it prone.
