Unless it was a thread about adventure design or fluff creating, I got this from a lot of 3e threads back in the day (but then, there was a 3e rules forum, a 3e houserules forum, and the General forum, so maybe that's why).

I didn't mean "It's all about rules", but "It's all about the intricacies of tactical combat, powers and stats". I like talking about rules.

But I'll buy that's it's not a special 4e thing. I stopped reading the rule forums a year or two into 3.5's lifespan, so I don't really know how the discussions evolved.

(It may also just be my imagination.)
