Monte Cook: No Love For Fighters

The single most common criticism I've seen of BoXM has to do with fighters, by which, I assume people really mean non-spellcasters. They range from "there's nothing new for fighters," which is mostly true, although a lot of the optional rules are as useful to them as anyone, to "the book hoses fighters," which I'd argue with other than the point I made right in the book (a feat per level decreases the value of bonus fighter feats slightly).

However, in thinking about all this, I have come up with a whole bunch of BoXM-style ideas for non-spellcasters (and for fighters especially).

I'm wondering if this is of interest. Which is to say, of interest enough for me to compile them into a small BoXM style book, for Sue to edit it, etc. It would be shorter than BoXM and thus cheaper. We could make it a lulu book as well.

So if you want to see Book of Experimental Might: Fighters, give a shout out.

I thought he was out of the RPG business? Must be hard to move away entirely.

Kind of like Jay-Z retired from rap, or Streisand's numerous "farewell" tours?

If the inspiration strikes, and it's fun, why not do it? :p
