So everything D&D should say 'An Al Verrecchia Product'? (CEO of Hasbro)

If Al Verrecchia has any significant name recognition in the D&D market and has direct and regular input on the content of D&D books, then yes. Since I'm guessing the answer to both of those is 'no', it's not really an apples-to-apples comparison.

Buh? This makes . . . zero sense. The only thing I can think of that relates to iron in Arcana Evolved is the iron witch - one class variant out of about twenty.

Of course it makes zero sense!
For some reason, Diamond Throne because Iron Throne in my mind, and I figured Iron Heroes was for that setting, whose name I misremembered. Make sense now?

That said, no, you're wrong. I believe Mike Mearls has said that there is an example setting presented in the book - the Swordlands, unconnected to the Diamond Throne - but that it's not connected to the rules as much as the Diamond Throne is in Arcana Evolved.

I see now that it's an AU like Alt-PHB. I was mistaken on the Iron thingee. I blame it on the internet!
That said, I don't really like Alt-PHB's, because trimming rules requires you to read everything in order to get any use out of it.

And now that I know what it is... I actually do think the Monte Cook's line is in bad taste. I thought it was linked to Diamond Throne, and thus more directly linked. It's not a major thing though, and it may help it get into game stores (I doubt it'll make a huge impact with consumers, but the Game Store Buyers will probably catch the name quicker.)

And, now I think my theory of Alphabetical Listing is right! This puts both Alt-PHB's right next to each other!
