Aren't all of the more busy writers working on several secret projects now? I should think so.

No, those would be too obvious. Monte said thaty the gnomish reference is so oblique that we shouldn't even pay attention to it.

I guess that Monte's second secret project is the Ptolos Campaign Setting. Monte's been DMing his home brew world for years (or so I think) and now he wants to release it to the public. He started Malhavoc Press with this in mind. What do you think?

"Book of Vile darkness" sounds like a good guess, but if that's what it is, I won't be buying it. Not that I'm offended by the notion of people playing evil characters; I just don't think you need a book for it any more than you need a book to play Lawful Characters.

I seem to remember a post by Monte saying that we were warm in this area........ But for the life of me , I can't find it now.

Then again......... Who's to say it has anything to do with D&D at all.... He might be working for the CIA........ Or Ryan's D20 police for that matter.

Monte has posted before, saying that both the Gnomish Kama Sutra and Jack Chick references were both unusable as hints/clues to his secret project, being jokes for the most part.

He also said (on the topic of warmness) that on the old boards, someone had gotten close. I'm assuming that means the same guesses we keep hearing over and over again are not as correct as we like to think.

He said that we had gotten close, then someone had guessed it exactly, then we had move farther and farther away from the correct guess.

Nah... one of the clues was something to the effect of "Players have been asking for it for a decade but we have never done it"... I don't see how anything dealing with more planes would be "long asked for but never given"
