d20 WoD sounds like one of the worst ideas possible... :p

Almost as bad as d20 Deadlands (which actually was made  ) and d20 Shadowrun. ;)

Different from d20 Cthulhu, d20 Wheel of Time, and d20 Star Wars?

I don't know anything about the new world of darkness (I've downloaded but not even opened the core book from when they offered it free), but I loved the old world of darkness flavor stuff and used a bunch of VtM, MtA, MtSC, and even a little WoD sorcerer in my D&D games, and I wanted to incorporate WtA spirit world stuff.

Having a conversion guide for things like the NWoD Predators book might entice me to get it.

Many years ago,Monte said in GREY WORLDS a I.C.E. fanzine that he wanted very badly to make a rpg book about vampires in the modern world. This was years before the oWoD. I think this may be it.

I would very much like to see a fantasy game done with the Storyteller system. I have been wanting something like that for a long time. And yes, I know there is Exalted, I get told that everytime I mention this. But I want something not so over the top powerwise. Something closer to the D&D level (no pun intended). Or a very low magic game ala Iron Heroes. OOOOOH! How cool would that be? Iron Heroes action in the Storyteller system. :)
There's always Vampire: The Dark Ages.

*puts up crosses and garlics to ward off the Storyteller System*

That book was a lot of things, but fantasy wasn't one of them. A dark and rather bleak view of the horrors of feudal Europe, like a more historical Warhammer without the dwarves with orange mohawks. As a guy who loved the dwarves with orange mohawks, I can tell you V:tDA was even meaner than Warhammer FRP, and that is saying alot.

The first V:tDA was great; the 2nd Edition lost most of the flavor and other elements that made the first one good. And the first one had the best art Josh Timbrook ever did for White Wolf.

EDIT: Just wanted to add, if McWod were a d20 version of Dark Ages WoD, I'd buy that the day it came out.

I've never really had much more than a passing curiosity about WW's WoD games. The art looked pretty nice and that sort of thing but I couldn't get past the pretentious goth kids LARPing Vampire. Maybe I wasn't being fair to the system but I think perhaps with Monte's work on this, I'll give it a shot.

Of the original WoD games, my fave was Mage, but Vampire was a close second...if only because of my insane PC designs...

Yeah- I'll give Monte's version a serious examination...but for those who didn't take a look at it the first time around, I'd say give them a chance- if only at your local used-book reseller. The settings were nicely done modern fantasy with some interesting twists, and the Storyteller system wasn't bad...

IMHO, it was fairly simple to use and understand...it was just inconsistently used over the various product settings.

I've often thought about picking up one of the games but didn't know where to begin. Wasn't there a "Dark Ages" series? Something like that sounds pretty interesting to me.
