Monte's Secret Project OR How's the weather?

I've been waiting for them to tell us what it is as well. When will WotC announce their 3rd quarter products?

Last week here in BR is was 80 degrees at Midnight. We seem to only have 2 seasons here in Louisiana: Summer and Febuary. :D

We're talking weather rather than Monte's project because we know a HECK of a lot more about weather in our home areas than we do Monte Cook's release schedule. We've apparently entered Monsoon Season here in central Florida... until 3 years ago, a meteorologist couldn't go wrong in the summertime if he said "Highs in the mid-to-high 80's, afternoon thundershowers". I see those days are back again!

Central Florida historically gets about 12% of the world's lightning (not a joke!), and now there's all those golf courses...

Yeah, but the funky thing about Florida showers is that they are so small, one can drive in and out of one in the matter of a few miles.

Eric Noah at one of MY threads, and we're discussing the orc-blasted weather?!!!

Okay, so it was like 20C here for a week followed by -10C and more snow than we've had all winter.

But I'd still rather hear about Monte's project. That and I'm eagerly awaiting the new Kalamar PC book from Kenzerco...

Yea we dont really have seasons either, heh

But in San Diego we have 50 weeks of good weather. It did rain yesterday, but I think I must have brought that back with me from Seattle, where I was last weekend.

Speaking of weather and D&D, does anyone use a weather generator in their game?

I recall that the Greyhawk boxed set's Glossography and FR2 Moonshae have weather generators, and it's a nifty snippet of verisimilitude when the DM comes up with weather...or tracks the seasons for that matter. SKR's Faerun calendar would be useful there. I suppose that the problem with tracking time in this manner is that you realise just how short a time it takes to reach high level. :)
