Monte's "The Ranger Revisited" question

I personally feel this player is but a munchkin. Just say no, and proposes that he plays a 3.0 ranger instead if he continues to whine about it.

Ranger 3.5 is perfect as is. Since 3.5 I only play rangers instead of fighters and rogues. You can guess why.
 

I agree with the others about this... Monte's ranger is to fix the 3e one, not the 3.5e one. So, if you're playing 3.5e, then he uses the 3.5e ranger. Plain as that.

However... and here comes the shameless self-promotion part of my post... if you want, I have created my own variant of the 3.5e ranger, and you're welcome to use it if you wish. It is mostly based on the 3.5e ranger with some changes to Favored Enemies and a few extras thrown in. You can find it here.
