Mord's Faithful Hound Help

OK. I am at a loss here. Mordenkainen's Faithful Hound's duration is 1 hour/level until triggered and then 1 round/level thereafter. If my wizard was to cast an extended version of the spell (with the Extend Spell feat), which duration is doubled? Or are both doubled?

My first thought was that the spell would now last 2 hours/level, but still only last 1 round/level after the dog was triggered. But there's really no reason I can see that would not extend the latter duration.

Any thoughts?

Since both durations are quoted in the duration category, I see no problem with letting extend... extend both.

Sounds reasonable to me to let you extend both durations.
