IGN has an article on some new D&D Lego minifigures (LEGO Reveals New Star Wars Set and Dungeons & Dragons Line at Comic-Con - Exclusive - IGN):

I love the concept but it would be great if it was more for playing than for displaying. I'd love to see customisable PCs with simpler, more generic, interchangeable species- and class-specific components. And more of the generic, low-level monsters: skeletons, goblins, kobolds, etc. Even if they have to sell them in this "mystery boxes" format. You could do a very expensive mix-and-match with this and the Red Dragon's Tale set, but it still wouldn't really have that customisability.

Okay, the dragonborn and tiefling heads are actually pretty good. Color me impressed. Doubly so since they somehow managed to make an intellect devourer look cute.
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for intellect devourers :) And I should also give credit in the low-level monster grouping that they've given us a rat for the classic "rats in the basement" RPG scenario
