I love the fact that any caster may memorize or cast spells of a lower level in place of higher level slots.
Example: A sorcerer casting his fireball (3rd level slot) instead of scrying (4th level slot). Or a wizard memorizing a few more Summon Monster VII (7th level spell) to summon up a horde instead of all his 8th level spells.
How does exchanging upper level slots for lower level spells come into play with cleric domain spells? If I have the trickery domain, I can cast invis as a 2nd level domain spell.
Can I memorize more invis spells instead of some of my 3rd level spells, or can I only memorize one more invis for my 3rd level domain spell? Or can domain spells be played with this option at all?
Free domain spell hint: Have clerics make scrolls with their domain spells. Wizards cannot cast the divine versions of these spells! Very frustrating for the "scroll" class.
