D&D 5E More folks working on D&D Next than was implied

Why does this answer to this question interest people?

I care about the product. I am not sure I care if it is made by one person, or fifty people.

Notwithstanding the above comments, team size does make a difference.

Of course, large teams have inefficiencies. And differences in timespan matter. Particular focus (adventures vs core rules vs miniatures vs whatever) matters. Team environment (small company vs a team in a corporate environment) matters. And team expertise matters. And so on.

That doesn't mean that team size shouldn't be considered. That means that the answer has to be carefully examined, and is only useful to a very limited degree.

That does mean that understanding team size is tricky.

Perhaps a better approach would be to compare the team organization in Paizo with the team organization in WotC, with less of a focus on numbers and more of a focus on where effort is directed and how the team is structured.

If ever one was to try to plan out this sort of work effort, both the estimate of the necessary team size, and an overview of the team structure, is something that has to be figured out. This is all a very meaningful area of study.

Thx!

Yes it is. But given our near-total lack of information, or ability to get information, I'm not sure how we can profitably study it.

How does any of that matter, if the product a company puts out is good?
