I own one DVD. The Blues Brothers. It's a one-disc set.

I wonder when somebody else is going to make Lord of the Rings, like how different directors keep remaking Shakespearean plays. Then we could have 3 different versions of 2 different trilogies, each with three four-disc sets.

Teehee, math is hard.

I bought the theatrical releases and the expanded versions. I don't care how much more stuff they come up with, I'm not buying any more DVDs.

Unlike LOTR, Shakespeare's works are in the Public Domain. Somebody else will have to wait their turn (MGM/UA/New Line currently hold film production and distribution right), assuming Tolkien Enterprise (aka Saul Zentz company) approve.

Meh. I'm hoping for a HD DVD version of the Expanded Edition Trilogy. I want to be able to watch a movie on one disc playback, rather than on two discs.

Yep, that would be me. No more DVD spending until I get a WETA-supported Hobbit movie.

Which now looks extremely unlikely.

Trust is a wonderful thing.

So, mind if I ask how many LotR editions you own so far?
I own the regular editions and the extendeds. That is typical for me with movies that I like. If there is an extended I typically like to have the original cut for comparison and sometimes viewing time purposes.
