Morrowind D20

Someone mentioned that a point buy system would be good, and I think we all know what game has that down pat: MUTANTS & MASTERMINDS! :D :D :D

Actually, I'd much rather just a comprehensive sourcebook for the world than a full-blown rpg system.

They don't have any sort of 'fans guide to tamriel' do they?

Maybe one of the Moderator could move this thread to d20 Publishers OR we could start another one over there. Someone there might be looking for a world to publish.

I also would like a(some) source book(s) more than a full blown RPG

Mongoose Publishing. They do good work on licensed material.

Yeah, but they just gor Babylon 5 so I guess they might be occupied for a while with that one.

The world is well-made and really interesting (it was a bit bland in Arena, but got better and better since Daggerfall).

The mechanics would not need to be too close to that of the game (since they change with each episode), so the d20 system could be used.

But the Spellmaker, Potionmaker, Itemmaker systems should definitely be there ! I love harvesting souls and binding them into items. It has a little something that is deeply satisfying. (And it was just plain cool to have an angry deadra lord pop up of nowhere attacking you when your sword broke.) Bits of Daggerfall should be there, for the side effects of certain souls.

Mongoose is a nice publisher that seems to be craving for new licenses. Sword & Sorcery, with Everquest and the Blizzard licenses, also have some experience in adapting computer game to P&P, and they are quite respected as d20 publishers.

Possible publishers:

Mongoose, as others have said.

Sword & Sorcery/Necromancer

AEG (look what they've done with D20 Rokugan!)

Kenzer--whether you like Kalamar or not, you have to agree that their products are all beautifully done.

Sadly, us wishing doesn't make it so.

Morrowind D20 vs Elder scroll d20 :
I think that a Morrowind sourcebook would be richer and more interresting than a Tamriel d20 : This world is so huge that it's near impossible to avoid the Forgotten Realms syndrom (imagine Vivec detailed in ten lines : I don't want that !).
Then, we may have additional sourcebook, one for each province.
Nine province soucebooks, plus one rulebook (races, feat, classes, soulgems, alchemy...), plus one monster manual, plus one for Daedras and Aedras. Yum !

I would prefer to see one game book on the whole world- detail races, classes (and how to make a custom class), magic and some light campiegn information.

Follow that up with a book on Morrowind. That way no pages in the book need to be used on describing races and such.
