Morrus Appreciation Thread

Three cheers for EnWorld, Russ and Eric! This one of the few sites I keep coming back to day after day and year after year. With Russ's dedication I think d20 gaming and the online community would be lessened

My mother had a very wise saying:

"Never choke a volunteer."

Morrus, thank you for all your efforts keeping this site running. I know it's a lot of hassle and you, obviously, have felt less than appreciated. My apologies that way. You deserved kudus for the site, for your efforts, and most importantly FOR YOUR LOVE OF THE GAME! :)

Keep on truckin', as we ol' types used to say ;)

Indeed,

To add my voice to the chorus.. many thanks Russ some of the publishers may not appreciate your efforts or give due thanks for your efforts, but their selfish ways are not shared by us little people who are just thankful for such a helpful and diligently cared for site where we can get our news, share a conversation and immerse ourselves in our hobby with similarly like-minded individuals.

And many thanks also to Eric for buying the bus and starting the journey we all now take with Russ in the drivers seat.

kudos guys

Thank you, Russ, for all your hard work that provides us with this exceptional community!

I look forward to renewing my supporter account in October!

Thanks Morrus.

Without you, many of my passions wouldn't have seen the light of day;

Interactive Dungeon (95% of the downloads are reffed from here)
Cooperative Dungeons (you gave me 100% carte blanche to use your site for them, and with no payback to you)
The new player (Yig) I found via your site and starts in my campaign tomorrow night
The contacts I've made with Mark Clover

I am furious at the thought that some publishers have done what you said they did. I was genuinely feeling my face go red when I read your rant.

Do whatever you want, and I'll support your decision 100%. You are awesome man.

I'll add my voice to the throng:

When I've finally got a job, a part of my first paycheck will be set aside to donate to this wonderful site, and not just because I miss the cool Community Supporter features. There are so many things I love about this site, just one of which is the wonderful feeling of community here. Russ, without your hard work, we just wouldn't be here.

That's to say: without you, no Ennies, no Hivemind, no Ceramic DM, no storyhours from Piratecat and Sagiro, no publishers' news, no RPG, no debates on roll-playing vs role-playing and alignment, no watching Crothian fail to lurk, no gaming at all (I met my current gaming group through EN World), and none of the wonderful friends I've made in the last two years visiting this site.

I don't want to imagine my life without those pleasures.

Thank you, Russ.

I want to thank Morrus for this great site and for taking over the reins of D&D/d20 News when Eric Noah went into "website management" retirement. I came for the news page, stays for the messageboards, and feel a part of the greatest D&D/d20 community on the Internet.

I love the Off Topic Discussion, Rogues Gallery, Story Hour, Creature Catalog, Art/Cartography/Miniatures, and Fantasy/SciFi Books/Movies/TV forums. I also often read the latest communications in the d20 & Open Gaming Publishers forum.

Keep your chin up, mon ami.
