Morrus Appreciation Thread

Thanks for the great website, Russ. Also, thanks to Eric Noah, the Admins and the community contributors who keep this place alive.

I generally agree with the rant, but I'm woefully not up-to-date on gossip in the rpg publishing industry, so I have no clue who is right or wrong here. Perhaps the publishers are jerks, or perhaps Russ is over-reacting. I suspect a little of both.

Perhaps Russ should consider whether this site should be a fan production or a 100% real business. Mixing the two seems to produce undesirable results.

Thanks from Alaska too. My game is better because ENWorld provides a spot where I can talk to people about general and rules questions and conversion issues.

I spend many hours here for the low price of a community supporter account (which I don't even need to do what I do!). It is without a doubt one of the best cost/benefit deals of my entire life.

Morrus, thanks a lot for providing a safe place for an anti-social fellow to communicate with other socially awkward gamers.

We don't say thanks often enough. :)

I just realized that Russ kept the site together for a year longer than I kept the old one together. :) Thanks, Russ, for bearing the load for 3 great years. Let's hope it goes on for many more.

Been visiting ENWorld for a number of years now. It's in my Favorites. I come here several times a day. The fact that my post count isn't as high as Crothian is only a matter of personal reserve.

Thanks Russ, thanks to Eric before you, for making this a great place to be. Most especially on the level of civil discourse, which is never allowed to wander into Flamerville. I really appreciate that.

And to show my appreciation, after years of being cheap and lazy, I just signed up as a Community Supporter.

I too appreciate ENWorld and all that Morrus and the Admins and Moderators do to give us a place to exchange rumors, news, and points of views.

I usually don't jump in on these kinds of threads because I'm not much of a joiner / bandwagon rider, but this time I've got something different to add.

Folks, if you really appreciate someone, whether it's Morrus, or a relative or a friend, or whoever don't wait until things are obviously bad to tell them that. Let them know whenever the opportunity arises. Don't wait for birthdays, or holidays, or graduations, or bad luck, bad days, or break downs. Just take the notion of telling people you appreciate them, leave it sitting in the back of your mind, and occasionally when it springs to the front, act on it.

I've read many times that Morrus gets a lot of e-mails, but I'll bet no matter how many he gets in a day, he'll always be happy to see the one that is a simple thank you from someone whose life he has made better because he continues to run this site.
