Mortal Superhero? Name some...

A lot of DC Golden Aged Heroes were non-powered. Many evolved from detective stories into superheroes; and even some would develop super-powers. A few of these are already covered:

Americommado
Atom
Crimson Avenger
Doctor Mid-Nite
Judo-Master
Manhunter
Mister Terrific
Phantom Lady
Red Bee
Sandman
Sandy, the Golden Boy
Star-Spangled Kid
Stripey
Taranula
Vigilante
The Whip
Wildcat
Wing (Judo-Masters' sidekick)

I can't believe I forgot one of my all-time favorites-

Adam Strange- equipped with only his ray gun, a jet pack and his wits!!!

Captain America is the pinnacle of human perfection. In terms of strength, agility, endurance and other physical attributes he is as far as one can go before they become "superhuman". He isn't immortal as far as I know, he spend decades frozen which accounts for his age considering he was in WW2.

The problem with Cap is that his Super Soldier serum has been used as such a plot fiat over the years that there is no guarantee that he ISN'T immortal. If some writer wants to alter the character, ZAP! Something interacted with the serum.

Remember, at one point, Cap could bench press TONS and run almost as fast as a car.
